How Callmart works

The whole path from creating an account to answering a call, with nothing skipped.

Callmart connects two sides. Publishers generate inbound insurance calls through their own marketing. Buyers, meaning agents and agencies, buy those calls and talk to the people on the line. Here is what actually happens between those two facts.

The short version

  1. 01Create an account and applySign up, verify your email, and complete the buyer application as a solo agent or as an agency. Business approval comes before buying.
  2. 02Set your destinationTell Callmart where calls should ring: a phone number, a SIP address, or the browser softphone.
  3. 03Fund your walletAdd funds through Stripe. Calls draw against the balance as they are billed.
  4. 04Choose campaigns and buffersReview the campaigns available to your organization. Each shows its price and the connected-time threshold it is priced at.
  5. 05Switch onTurn availability on when someone is ready to answer. Set a daily call limit that matches your capacity.
  6. 06Answer, review, adjustTake calls, listen back to the recordings, and change campaigns, buffers, or limits based on what you hear.

What happens in the seconds around a call

A consumer sees an ad and calls the number. That call reaches a publisher's platform, which asks Callmart whether there is a buyer for it, passing the caller's number and state.

Callmart looks for an eligible buyer: someone whose availability is on, whose campaign matches, who is under their daily limit, and who has the funds or terms to buy. If you are a wholesale buyer with a ping configured, your own system is asked directly, and you have four seconds to accept or decline.

If there is a match, a destination is reserved for up to thirty seconds and the publisher connects the call to it. Your phone rings. Everything above happened while the consumer was still on the line.

When money changes hands

Not when the phone rings. Connected time starts when your destination answers, and ringing is never counted. The call is billed once, at the moment connected time reaches the buffer you selected. If the call ends before that, or is never answered, nothing is billed.

This is the single most important mechanic on the platform and it is worth understanding before you buy anything, because it is what a buffer is for.

What you are responsible for

Callmart delivers calls. Everything about what you do on them is yours: holding the right license in the states you sell in, following TCPA and state telemarketing rules, handling recording consent where it applies, and running your own quality bar.

This page is general information about how the marketplace works. It is not legal advice. Confirm your own obligations with your counsel and your state regulator.

What Callmart does not promise

  • No guaranteed volume. Delivery depends on eligible publisher supply and on your own buying settings.
  • No guaranteed exclusivity, conversion, or close rate.
  • No claim that any campaign or source will perform better than another.
  • Creating an account does not commit you to spend, and approval is required before you can buy.

Common questions

01How long does approval take?

It depends on the application. You create an account and verify your email immediately, then complete a buyer application that our team reviews. Call delivery also depends on eligible publisher supply and on the buying settings you choose afterward.

02Can I try it without spending money?

You can create an account and go through approval without funding a wallet or switching buying on. Nothing is charged until a call connects and passes your buffer, and you control whether buying is on at all.

03What do I need before my first call?

An approved account, a funded wallet, a destination where calls should ring, at least one campaign switched on, availability turned on, and a person ready to answer. The last one matters more than the rest.

04Who decides which calls I get?

You do, through your campaign selections, buffer, daily limit, and availability. Wholesale buyers can go further and accept or decline each individual call through a ping to their own system.
