CALL TYPES

Medicare Advantage calls

Medicare Advantage is a specific product with its own enrollment rules, and it takes a different conversation than Supplement or Part D.

Medicare Advantage, often called Part C, is a Medicare plan sold through a private insurer that bundles hospital and medical coverage, and often prescription drug coverage, into a single plan. It is a named campaign on Callmart, and it is worth understanding on its own rather than lumped in with Medicare generally.

What a Medicare Advantage caller sounds like

Callers asking about Medicare Advantage are usually comparing plans against each other, not deciding whether to have Medicare at all. Common threads include asking whether a specific doctor or hospital is in network, whether a current prescription is covered, and what the plan costs beyond the premium, things like copays and out-of-pocket maximums. Some are calling during AEP to switch plans for the coming year; others are calling during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, January 1 to March 31, because they are already enrolled and want to change plans or go back to Original Medicare.

That last group, MA OEP callers, tends to be more specific than an AEP caller. They already have a plan, they already know what they do not like about it, whether that is a network problem, a drug that is not covered, or a cost that surprised them, and they are calling to fix that one thing rather than to shop broadly. Recognizing which window a caller is in helps you get to the actual question faster.

Licensing to take these calls

You need the appropriate state insurance license, and Medicare Advantage sales typically require carrier-specific certification and CMS-related training completed each year. This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm current requirements with your state regulator and the carriers you represent.

Named campaign: Medicare Advantage on Callmart

Medicare Advantage is one of the named campaign types available on Callmart, alongside Final Expense and Final Expense CTV. As with every campaign, the price and the connected-time buffer are shown in your workspace before you switch buying on, and no starting price for Medicare Advantage is published outside the workspace.

  • Turn the campaign on or off on your own schedule.
  • Set a daily call limit that matches your licensed and certified capacity.
  • Route calls to a phone number, SIP address, or the Callmart softphone.
  • Review call recordings afterward to check how your team is handling plan comparison questions.

Where Medicare Advantage fits next to Medicare generally

If you want the broader seasonal picture, including AEP and how ACA and Medicare volume compare across the year, the Medicare page covers that ground. This page is deliberately narrower: it exists for a buyer who already knows they want Medicare Advantage specifically, not Medicare Supplement or Part D, and wants to know what makes that product different before turning the campaign on. If you are not yet sure which of the three you want, start with the Medicare page and come back here once you have decided.

A word on network and formulary questions

More than most insurance calls, a Medicare Advantage conversation depends on details you cannot fully answer from memory: whether a specific hospital system is in a plan's network, or whether a specific medication is on a plan's formulary at a given tier. Agents who take these calls tend to keep plan documents or a carrier portal open during the call rather than promising an answer from recall. Getting a network or formulary answer wrong is a common source of caller frustration on this product specifically, more so than on final expense or term life, where the coverage question is usually simpler. Building that habit into a team's call flow, checking rather than guessing, tends to matter more for how a Medicare Advantage call goes than any script change.

Common questions

01Is Medicare Advantage the same thing as Medicare?

No. Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, is one way to receive Medicare benefits, sold through a private insurer. Original Medicare and Medicare Supplement are different paths through the same overall Medicare system.

02What is the starting price for Medicare Advantage calls?

Callmart has not published a fixed starting price for Medicare Advantage on this page. The price and connected-time buffer for the campaign are shown in your workspace before you switch buying on.

03When can someone switch their Medicare Advantage plan?

Generally during the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, or during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, January 1 to March 31, if they are already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan. Confirm current dates with CMS.

04Do I need special certification to sell Medicare Advantage?

Most carriers require annual certification in addition to your state insurance license before you can sell Medicare Advantage plans. Confirm requirements with each carrier you represent.
